| I certainly welcome Jordan Lilly to Leigh however, I do think we need a more permanent recruit who has more miles on the clock and, is a proven leader!

| Quote Tom G="Tom G"We aren't going to have a run in the cup, that result shouldn't matter at all. Getting to the last 16 of the Challenge Cup is all well and good as long as we get promoted.
As things stand I don't see us finishing top 4, let alone being bothered about who we cup tie or not. We won't beat Halifax Sunday, we're finishing 4th at very best.'"
You may very well be right however, Hall,Dawson,Crookes,Matautia, Evans, Lilley and Hutchinson is a pretty formidable line up, for us with more SL and NRL experience than Championship!

| Kirk, I agree my mate. We should have beaten Fev and Toulouse, we still had vast amounts of SL and NRL experience in both of those teams.
Trying to have faith, really am trying. I just don't like the look of where this club is going. I'll stress again, the next coach could well be the most important in recent history. If we don't get promoted this season then I think the house of cards will come down. DB is off at the end of the season. And if we don't get promoted which sensible businessman is going to take on a second division club with a sky high wage bill and players tied down for 2 years. The only place to make money in RL is in SL. Rugby League will become an attractive prospect once Eddie Hearne works some of his magic. But being realistic, is he going to massively advertise the Championship? No.
The only way we get promoted this season is with an established coach, Purtill isn't that. Tony Smith is. I'll say it again, throw whatever money he wants at him. Millward won't come back I don't think. He's already done us a favour this season in giving us Drew. Who else?
Paul Anderson - plays 1 man rugby. Would basically be the same as appointing Cunningham with a different wrapper.
Andrew Henderson - got London punching well above their weight but would take a massive amount to get him from Wire.
Shaun Edwards - another ASSISTANT coach.
Watson - plays good rugby due to Robert Lui and O Brien, apart from that I don't see the appeal.
Kear - had Batley dreaming of promotion when in all honesty they shouldn't have been anywhere near, does he have the pedigree for what we want though?
If anyone wanted a real left field coach then I'd say Aston. - Head coach who's done better than he should have done in recent years with Sheffield.

I will throw in a bit of a wild card, If i was DB i would be going after either Danny Orr or Ryan Sheridan.
Kear would get you promoted this season, but whether he would now up sticks again from Bradford is another thing.

I wonder if that's a problem for us - having players with very little experience of the Championship? Players who have come to us in the past, from SL, have told of the shock they got, playing in the Championship. It isn't easy, that's for sure!

| RFF I’m gonna look a moron now. On paper we should have won I’ve based it on. I didn’t think we would win for what it’s worth. On paper we should have though.

You're full time which should give you and advantage. We had a prop in one centre and a back rower in the other....
Notwithstanding that, we're a bit lively this season Tom.
Last season we'd have lost that. I fancied us at the weekend

Dead simple - we shouldn't have let Ridyard defect to the 'Dark Side'!

I always thought he would - he's a class act, in my opinion. He never really got the chance to prove himself with us at SL level - why that was so, is a complete mystery to me. What I do know is that we sent him out to Huddersfield, who were neck and neck with us, in the lower reaches of SL. His arrival there 'coincided' with an improvement in their fortunes. Now we see him making a huge difference, to one of our 'rivals' in the Championship. So very frustrating!
I feel, although we'll never know it, that the result last weekend could well have been reversed, had he been on our team, instead of yours! Two good, play-making, half backs could probably enhance what we have got! You're just downright greedy - you've got three of them!
