I don't do world domination Charlie. I'm far too old and have been disappointed far too many times to adopt that frame of mind.

I said on the fax forum the top four is not given. Toulouse London Toronto Leigh are all likely to feature.

So.... when we beat Leigh for the first time in bloody ages im going to allow myself a few days where I enter "smug mode" before the settings are reset and I adopt the grumpy old pessimist again.

Better off out of the CC in early stages I think, reduction in fatigue & chance of injuries with a small & already crocked squad. Concentrate on the League situation which is surely the priority given the smoke signals of the shop door being locked shut soon ?

We don't need a very experienced coach, we need a good coach. Purtill's CV is probably as good as anyone who would want to come to be honest.

I think this squad needs all the game time it can get at present.

Purtills CV is good, as an assistant coach.



I think we all know that our new HC is going to be 1 out of 2. Both whose first initial is K.

The advertisement I personally is DB giving himself a get out of jail card.



Instead of drawing up a list of 5 class coaches and going all out for them he's advertising the position. Personally I'd rather get knocked back from real heavyweight coaches and say we tried instead of drawing an app from Wigan St Judes 2nd XIII coach.

By advertising the position DB gets to come out and say that no big names wanted the job but the people who applied weren't good enough so instead we've decided to go with K? He's not going to want to put more money in on getting someone proven with an already inflated wage bill.

But who are these heavyweights? Smith would be a gamble given he seems disillusioned with the game. May as well stick with Purtill as get Anderson in. Kear's only just taken a role. Who else is there?
