| Leigh till I was 19. Went to uni in Nottingham for 3 years, with one year working in Bristol in between. Came back to Leyth for 2 years. Then back to Bristol for 1 year. Now I find myself in sunny Toulouse. 'Tis great out here, but it's bloody typical that they won't be playing Leigh this year.
Will be flying back on Friday afternoon though. Hopefully back in time for the game.

| Born at Firs, Raised at Angus Avenue, lived there till I was 16/17, got my first job (an apprenticeship, anyone remember those) and moved to Middlesbrough, then Morecambe and then after a couple of short stop overs here and there, back to Leigh, where I remain, most of the time, though I do seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time in Bristol at the moment.
I'm a Westleyther, as nature clearly inteneded me to be.

Do some work, ya lazy sod. Though at least you're keeping an eye on the Melting Pot.
This thread is brilliant (especially as I'm posting whilst in Edinburgh)

| Born at Firs Maternity in 1974 (It shut shortly afterwards).
Lived at Ena Cres until 1997 and a true Westleyther / Wigan Roader. Dads side of the family are all Plonk Loners !!
Lived in Birchwood since I have moved, so still not a million miles away (even though it feels it at times !)

| Born in Leigh Firs Maternity Hospital in 1975, lived in Lowton for 20 years and have lived in Leigh for 17 years. Both our sons born in Warrington as I could not have Wigan on their birth certificate.
After talking about the Leigh v Leeds game my mum showed me a fantastic picture of her (when she worked at Leigh Infirmary and retired two years ago) of actually holding the Challenge Cup in 71' when (I think it was the Journal/Reporter or whoever it was then) took photos of the Cup Victory in the Community and to show the patients at the time.

I'd have to do a taste test, but it must be 35 years since the last one!
