It's a bit difficult to know what Super League standard is until a player has had the opportunity to play at that level. The whole of the Bulls team, since the recent flurry of recruitment, has played in Super League but as the club were relegated last year it doesn't follow that they are all SL standard. It looks like those without SL experience have been found to be not suitable so does that make them less than the required standard. If Leigh get promoted the problem will be as to whether they can recruit better players, or should that be players with SL experience.....not necessarily the same thing. Maybe the existing players could survive next year......as in avoiding the drop.Will Wakey SL standard players be of a higher standard.

If you look at the Leigh team quite a lot of them have already played in SL and have slowly moved down the league to where they are now and although its not unthinkable for some of them to have improved and now be able to do a good job in SL, it is slightly unrealistic.

What impression has he gave you for you to come to the conclusion he's a Wakefield fan?

Maybe we could divide them into 4 different standards......Gold, Silver, Bronze and Rusty Cast Iron. There certainly isn't one definable standard and last year we were group 4.

Not so much that they've slowly moved down, more that a number have had one crack at a Super League club and it's not worked out. But doesn't mean it won't work out second time around for the likes of McNally, Kay, Armstrong, Pala, Brierley, Reynolds, Spencer, Hopkins, Sarsfield. Sometimes a player has to take a step down to take a couple of steps up.

No impression, I was trying to remember where I'd seen him post earlier in the season. I'm sure he came on the Leigh board in the build up to one of the CC games

how many of the leigh lads were only young and wasn't quite ready for superleague and with there only being an u19s comp their respective clubs had to let them go,for me thats why they have to bring back reserve rugby so these clubs can give the players a fair crack to see if they can make the step up

I agree to some extent hence why I said it is possible but it has been a very rare occurrence over the years and to expect about 10 or so players from 1 team to be able to do it is probably unlikely.

I think they will struggle in the 8's because they are not full time.
