And as far as "we might want to finish 2nd come the end of the season due to this that or the other"... for me that's no way to approach anything. I understand what some people are saying regarding this, but if we do get up into SL, will we be saying something similar? Like Wakefield said for example; about concentrating on just the Middle 8's. Or will we be one of those teams in SL that puts out a "weakened" side against some top teams so we'll have "a better chance" to win our next match against a team more at our level?



To me, you end up where you deserve at the end of the season. To try and "lose" a match to try and get a potentially slightly "easier" route to SL is just not in the spirit of the game and is also playing with fire.

If finishing second becomes an easier route at the time ,then so be it. And no if we do get into SL we won't be saying things similar because with £1.8m and a much stronger squad we won't need too. And you won't be able to take any risk in SL with a weakened side or you could soon find yourself struggling in the bottom four. Now, If, and I mean if the situation at the last match against Doncaster meant an easier route in the middle 8's if we lost,what would you do or say?

Fair enough, but as daft as it may be,if losing a game that could give you a potentially good advantage,and at the same time give you a chance to rest a few players for the play offs,then I don't see a problem.
