The captain and coach may well be right , but not just about yesterday, There are far too many performances like that through a season.
You are right about it being Andersons job to lift the side up, which I think is not his best quality, As you well know I am not a fan of his, I don't think he can motivate them, nor can he threaten them either, they know the situation better than we do, The performances , Good or bad, seem to depend on what mood takes their fancy.
I didn't expect to beat Catalan with the side we can put out at the moment, but even with a full pack to choose from we have a relatively slow and lethargic pack with a distinct lack of fight for most games, Why can we put up so much fight in some games such as Wigan and Leeds and yet get rolled over with such ease like yesterday.
It happens at most clubs from time to time, but at most clubs do something about it, If we lose to Wakey ( God forbid ) It may well be squeaky bottom time for Mr Anderson. The only things he has to use, is of course the injury list, but to be honest, I don't think Smith is any better that Kopczak (if as good ) and Huby is not the offloading forward he was at Cas. so don't see those two would have transformed us, Mullally had more go forward than both and he hardly got on the field .
I don't say Mr Anderson is responsible for the hiring and firing of course, but he is certainly the one to be held responsible for their attitude on the field, If he can't stop them repeatedly giving away endless Penalties who are we to look to. Anyway whoever does the Hiring and firing he is the one who will lose his job when the crunch comes.
