Perpi trip all sorted Thurs - tuesday

No- jamaica! Which is why I can't afford two weeks in July!

Probably more chance of one from the UK !!!!

Thinking of going with lads. Is it best to do thr group tour or book on our own.



Any hints? Travel or hotel?

we have always booked our own trip, our cost for hotel, flight and train between three of us works out at £250 each. we always use hotel de france, which is right next to the castillet where all the fans meet up. on the giants site they are charging £459 and you spend four hours travelling from spain and back on match day. spain is cheaper beer wise, but you wouldn't go to widnes before a warrington game. so my advice would be book yourself. hotels are paid for when you leave, only cost now is flight

Agree with Skelmanthorpe, we've always done it on our own. last year we did Luton to Girona.

Dont see the point of staying in Spain to bus it up for half a day then go back, to me that's like spending a week on holiday in Skegness but taking time out to go to Hull for an away match during your holiday. Each to their own but i prefer the atmosphere of the bars/restaurants/cafe's of Perpignan itself.



And you can do nearly a week for half the price of the club's weekend offer !!

always booked it off my own back, usually look around for the cheapest deals.



as daz and SG say,perpignan is more expensive than the costa brava, but it's a better atmosphere and a nicer place.

Would be my first time if we go over! Always been my intention last couple of years now my lads old enough to go and enjoy it. Good time of year too

the price we've paid is for 5 nights, the club is for 3 nights. so that's £200 cheaper (which we will spend on beer plus a bit more no doubt), and if you a beach canet is a euro away on a bus. as you walk around Perpignan you will see fans you have never met before, and as the weekend gets closer more and more turn up. the locals are friendly, the bar owners have got to know us and have a good laugh with us. this year we were asked for a photo with a bride and groom (tried to talk him out of it lol), we sang "falling in love" for them and they loved it (didn't understand the FARTOWN bit though). our motto for failed AA members is "what happens in Perpignan stays in Perpignan" unless it can embarrass a few (I've still got the video meast
