JJ had a really good game against Saints, especially his first stint, he is very good defensively. AM is better at hitting up, but JJ seems more controlled, by that I mean less likely to do something daft, JJ is also the better defender imo.



I also thought Koppy had his best game of the season against Saints,he and JJ did a lot of graft which allowed Kaufusi to do some of his eye catching carries and hits.



I actually think the future looks very good for us at prop, Huby coming in too!

Madness! Wouldn't have Grix straight back in, not after such a lay off he's had. The players in the team at the mo are battle hardened. Plus Murph was awesome at FB last week, I'd even say he's wasted on the wing after that display and the ones at centre. Connor to stay at SO, Cudjoe can cover there too, he stepped in nicely last week on a couple of occasions at first and second receiver. Theres Bailey too and no probs if Robinson is ok. Although Mullally has been going well but Johnson went up a notch or two last week as well, thats a toughy if both fit.



We seem to have healthy competition for most positions at the business end of the season. All season I've doubted our ability to do anything (compared to last year), but the last couple of games have given me a bit more hope, couple with the weakness' of other teams. Have we sneaked up on the outside and timed this right? hmmmm...

Muprhy has everything BUT speed and in my opinion is a lot better all round player than Broughton, wouldn't want to be a coach with these kinds of selection problems.

murphy did everything a full back should do last week he was there in support if there was an off load ,ran the ball back very well ,didn't drop a catch,organised the deference and what a tackle

While I would have no concerns about Murphy being at full back I think you need to be careful not to get carried away with his performance against Saints. At the end of the day they had 12 men for the majority of the game, their kicking game was non-existent at best and we spent long spells in their half with our defensive line not being under pressure. The Wigan game will be entirely different.

Yes I agree, re him and kaufusi I can only think that their attitude off the field hasn't been hard working enough for anderson.

Connor at full back for me, he puts 100% in every time. He can kick, catch and tackle all with a bit of speed. Just what we need on our last line.



Tough choice between Murph and Jodie....but for this game, Jodie as we have Charnley to watch out for and Jodie has the speed to catch him.

Watched the highlights last night - my first thought re the fullback was if grix had been as "slow" to come across as murphy for makinsons try or had got caught out between two players as for Robys try Grix would have been absolutely slated for it!!!

I think they are both good players with different plus points. I think Anderson will make the decision not solely on the player but on the role he wants the fullback to take as part of the TEAM. - but that aspect of the choice will be lost on many.
