| Will it indeed. Incredible foresight there. Complaining about the perceived future quality of a shirt you don't own!
As I said, it compares favourably with my Country Origin shirt and whilst I wouldn't be so bold as to predict the future I can say that my polycotton (mix unknown) Origin shirt has a collar made of the same material in the same way and 5 years on remains in good condition with no bitting.

So there is no problem. People pay their money and take their pick.

| Sorry fellas, but the word you are looking for is 'Pilling'
A common fault with inferior quality knitted woolen fabric and carpet.
Rod's gear is absolutely top notch, as was his service, and the prices were very favorable compared to the stuff in the club shop.

| I'm aware of the actual term but felt that pedantically dissecting every error in the terminology, grammar and spelling of the posts in question was too time consuming for me to bother.
I'm puzzled at the willingness to criticise the club. The club have gotten in a commemorative shirt, a '53 CC winning replica shirt and it has been derided as inferior before anyone has even gotten it off the hanger. I don't care if the past player shirt is stitched together with 24ct gold thread and cost twenty pence; it's completely irrelevant.
A while ago I suggested some people should go and set up their own club seeing as they clearly think they can do better. Seriously, do it! Go and do it.

| If it's a huge problem then wash the shirts by hand or turn them inside out. It's nothing to do with the percieved quality of the shirts, the problem is caused by modern washing machines and friction from rubbing against the inside of the drum.
Or buy yourself an old twin tub washing machine.

| Criticising the club merchandise for wearing out before it's even been worn is completely over the top, as is signing up purely to start having a pop at the club. Throw in the general club bashing for things beyond their control, pointless comparisons between RL in Northern & Southern Hemispheres where the sports profiles are on two extremes and the blatant ego massaging pals brigade that's on show and you can't argue with it; some people do indeed need to chill out! They also need to check their terminology according to some posters and, with that being the case, they may as well keep a closer eye on their spelling and grammar whilst they're at it!
Startiiiiiiiiiiiiing....... NOW!

| So, my take on it is that several posters, who own a "rod" shirt and do not own a Huddersfield Giants replica Challenge Cup 1953 Winning Replica Shirt, feel that the Giants version is far inferior to the "rod" shirt even though they have been unable to compare. Danril has bought a Giants replica, is happy with the purchase and compares it to an Australian Origin shirt that most people state are of a far superior merchandise quality compared to it's English counterparts.
Danril has not had the shirt long but several posters have a DeLorean equipped with a flux capacitor which allows them to time travel into Danrils future after several washes and see the shirt has suffered from "bitting" (not the correct terminology but near as damn it).
You really couldn't make this up and feel I must purchase a "rod" shirt as soon as. The material has been tested by the same methods above and can withstand flame, acid and sharp objects. Using the above method they have travelled to the year 2083 and they are now being used by the Army as the long lasting material is perfect for their uniforms.
