| Just seen the final crowd figures for Scotland 6k down on last year at Cardiff
Ok understand the complaints about cardiff and hotels but, have to ask those that went, were the hotels any cheaper up in edinburgh? was there really that much extra choice?
Apparently 6k tickets were sold locally, dont know how this compares to Wales
I know the rfl has achieved its aim and got the Celtic team up and running in Wales, but from those who went to murreyfield and have done Cardiff in the past, whats the thoughts, think they have done the right thing??
Dublin in 2 years?? more cost! but
or was it a simple thing that the decision not to make as many games derby games factor

Work! could not def say i had weekend off
Cost of getting up there especially as am up there again in 3 weeks time for other stuff (thats a £300+ weekend)
Was not convinced about the stadium position, at least with cardiff you had easy option of wandering in to town!! bit far away with Murreyfield.
Trying to convince the other half to watch 6 games over 2 days hard enough, not a chance she would watch 7 and again stadium position compaired to wales made it harder to say to her "you wander off for an hr and we see you after the X game"
and at least derby fixtures had a bit of added interest for nuetrals
weekly games Leeds Bradfurt! worth watching Leed cats!!! nope!
wire Hull KR???? Hull Hull kr I would watch
sure you know what i mean, i love my rugby league but some teams am not really that bothered about watching in the flesh when can watch on Sky, I have not even recorded all the games as they have no real interest
dont get me wrong, the whole concept is interesting and its good to mix with other fans, am still not sure what the aim is but hey
I think the RFL and SL have to be carefull to gte the balance right between expanding the game and thinking about the current fan base
Ideas like taking the world club challenge to Dubai!!! errrrr why?
As for watching other teams play, finals are different!!

| No possibilty of me going and on TV, for me, 7 games in 2 days is way too much. Geese and Golden Eggs come to mind. I can't see this concept lasting more than one more year.
If they do the same next year, I'll attempt to watch our game live, record some/all of the rest, and pick 2 or maybe 3 to watch, hopefully having avoided hearing the results.

Same.
I recorded our game and watched 2 games yesterday. More than enough.

| What about Wembley as an idea for a weekend with the added extra of Saturday being the Championship day. Fax, Widnes,Leigh, Etc have a day out with the final game a local derby. Sunday and Monday Sl games bottom 2 kick off finishing with the final game top 2. Not perfect but think it may work

Was asking cuz you probably have the answer to your Q in there as why others dont go.
Murrayfield is still in the town so you dont feel in the middle of nowhere.
I loved it and will be going again next year. Its like a festival but instead of rubbish indie bands whinging about what day of the week it is you've got League. awesome way to spend a weekend.

| We went to Murreyfield and I was completely taken aback. There was not a single poster in the town, surrounding areas or Murreyfield advertising the event. Went to numerous pubs, tourist attractions, restaurants, shops and our hotel. Did a couple of tour buses as the weather was awful on Friday, had a chat with loadsa people NO ONE was aware there was a game never mind seven. No promotional stuff anywhere. Not even mentioned before, during or after the event in the The Scotsman which is their daily paper. Tiny bit written in the Telegraph. As number of fans from various clubs said it was the RFL's best kept secret. No real atmosphere ground half empty most of the time. Expensive weekend.
