A team that has lost 20 of 26 games with the 4th worst 4/against record per game in the SL era, potentially the joint lowest points tally over a season and the joint lowest number of wins in a season ever doesn't deserve any silverware.....in my honest opinion that is.



That said, rewarding failure seems to be the London RL way.....so if we have to award someone something, Tony Rea should get it for giving us a glimmer of hope and for throwing the CEO another 12 months employment lifeline!

I think the fact that Gower doesn't like losing is a credit to him! He and Dorny have been pi**ed off all the season with the set up, and they have been absolutely right.

We need to get that mindset in all our players heads. As someone said "show me a good loser and I will show you a loser" ! Gower head and shoulders player of the year for attitude alone, Dixon young player of the year,.

Dixon for me, take the point about Gower being peeved with losing but showing appreciation of people who pay to support the team wouldn't go amiss.

Awards are always difficult though, aren't they? There are plenty of people who put in a lot of effort but will never win an award (Melling for example).



The BBC Sports Personality OTY is an example...wonder exactly what the criteria is...winning stuff and/or being popular? Going to be difficult this year with so many outstanding achievements in the Olympics.

Get what you're saying though, but there isn't going to be a full-on players award thingy, which I agree wouldn't seem right after this season's debacle.



If Gowers as petulant as some on here think, could be a bit risky giving him a glass tankard if we lose to HKR....

Could always give him a golf-cart to play with instead
