| I think DH has decided it is sorted out this season or he throws in the towel. He will not keep going throwing money down the drain at the current rate with attendaces of under a 1,000? as we get thrashed every week. Getting in players from Oz good enough to make us competitive will not be on 1 year contracts either and we need quite a few. At the Hive the owner was keen to have us and we probably would have been secure for a few years there and he would hopefully have invested in the club. If that is not possible i think he will just give up the ghost as the club needs to be able to stand on its own feet more or less as he cannot maintain these losses any longer with a losing team.

| Quote jaybs="jaybs"Soon you will be unable to do anything in this country, as residents will complain about everything, one time people just accepted what the council did, near us we had a development object on a former pit site, it was by the side of the M6, so they were going to build a direct exit/entrance to the motorway, it would have brought 4,000 jobs to and been a central hub for distribution for many companies, it all came down to around 25 houses/residents, not wanting it?'"
Was that the Parkside/Hermitage Green one?
When I was a teen I worked on Burtonwood Air base that had been transformed into industrial units, they built houses next to it, 2 years down the line they successfully petitioned the stopping of night deliveries even though they'd had night deliveries for 10 years.

Same here, it's been bloody appalling at the Stoop this season, and not just on the pitch! Truth be told the previous one wasn't much better so no ST for me either, will probably just do a few games as used to be the case years ago.

| Quote Dan Stains woz God="Dan Stains woz God"Hi Ronnie.
At the last home game, my mate who is well connected at Quins said we still had the offer to play at The Stoop (and in their view, we weren't being asked a huge amount of money to do so).
Whether that is still the case, I don't know, but one would imagine so.
Hope to see u and Mrs Quin at an LB game next year.
'"
Hi Ann, yes be good to meet everyone at LB next year, but who knows whether the opportunity will still be there. If not, we have made some great friends from following the club over the years, nearly 20 in our case. I'm sure we should have regular reunions somewhere even if the club are no more.

However if there is something positive announced by the club about the future I may reconsider.

They apparently cant share with any other club on their licence I think. Probably only allowed fans who don't cheer or shout in leafy Barnet.

They said The Stoop was still an option if they wanted it for another year. And since Gillingham's out, The Hive seems unlikely, and Orient probably too pricey, my bet's on The Stoop.

Are you saying the Stoops cheaper than Orient?

| Ive always said as long as we play within London or near as damn it (travelcard zone) I would renew my season ticket. Would be happy enough staying at The Stoop but my real concern now is whether the squad wherever they play will be
competitive enough to justify the outlay. Its not the cost its the fact that those running the organisation appear to have such scant regard for those of us who still bother going.

Although I'm not a Stoop enthusiast, that could count as good news as it would surely mean the demise of Gus. And seeing as the RFL have obviously had plenty of involvement in the ongoing discussions they might even be able to assist in the appointment of a new chief exec. (Yes, I know it's the RFL, but even they can't do worse at executive recruitment than DH has done on his own.)
