| Danny Ward, he came off after about 15 minutes and left on crutches. Somehow I doubt Danny Orr is fully fit either.

| Quote Southern Reiver="Southern Reiver"Points well won against a team who were very disciplined and were not going to roll over. Thought we struggled in the first half but looked far more composed in the second half. Think the wind and rain had a great affect on that.
Melling had a mare at times but he also ran the ball out very well and was sound under pressure.
We had a lot of defence in the second half and were very strong.
Temata is possibly player of the season already. He and Ward have been awesome defensively and in going forward. but then their not scoring tries so are not recognised.'"
I think Temata is very underrated and Im vey happy to have him in the team. Hope he's still here next season as he'd be difficult to replace as will Hecks.

| Well, it was a well-earned win but a lot of dopey decision making, particularly late in the game. Wakey were fault-free in the first half I think, but it was a different story in the second half.
Not a pretty game to watch. I'd be surprised if it tempted many first timers to come back, but I wouldn't knock any initiative that gets new people into the ground.
Anybody have any idea why the temporary stage was so far away from the east stand? It was closer for the second performance but I can't see why it couldn't have been near to the touchline. And no, I'm not one of George's Groupies.

| Quote Mr Sheen="Mr Sheen"George's groupies didn't get to the game on their own. They came with mum & dad, who brought brothers, and some will be back.
It gets the club round the schools again, and reminds everyone we're still here. I took a friend of my son and his dad on my free tickets. The dad's a Yorkie who used to play League as a kid, though he's more into Union. He's been before, but not for a while, and was surprised how much he enjoyed it. He'll be back.'"
Agree 100% mate. New people came and tasted the experience.Kids with mums, dads and brothers. It all helps.
If we keep banging on the door people will realise we're here, and that 'ocassional game' will become a regular one.

That's probably because they showed almost no ambition and were incredibly conservative.
I don't see it as a bad thing that Quins seem happy to gamble from time to time (running on the last, going wide deep in our half, kicking on the first etc.).
Yes, the players will come up with errors from time to time, but they'll also come up with the big plays that win games.

Also, we worked out that kicking to Grix was a good idea.

And for me its that which will bring people back. There was only one team out there trying to play enterprising football. OK we made mistakes but some of the moves we tried to pull were the things that get you out of your seat.
Bringing them back however is one thing, getting them there in the first place is the challenge but good to see one of the biggest crowds of the season.................and on a Sunday as well
Strange that the 20 emtpy seats to the left of me were all not available according to the ticketing web site and the ticketing system at the stadium

To see a schoolboy chav in a baseball cap performing David Brent's "MC Hammer" dance. Embarrassing. Fortunately the bloke in the seat in front of me stood up for most of the half time interval so I didn't have to see most of it.

| our trademark move from the base of the scrum!!!!!!!
Actually think you will find it came from the one good move made by the England squad in the world cup! Purds from the base, one of our few decent tries out there
Cracking to see it used a couple of times, altho Luke Dorn needs to check his chase before the bounce, thats twice he has overrun it, eventually it will work until the other squads latch on to it
Missed out out Karl T
Think he is having a bloody good season reinforces what i thought last year, that he was still suffering from the chest injury the year before

| No the best game, but a result that puts us 4th with a game in hand....so very happy.
The crowd? Tough one this. 3,612 is a very poor result after the amount of work that went into promoting this game in the local schools etc...
PB really has his work cut out if we are going to get anywhere near a 4,000 average this year and 5,000 by 2012.
Wakey brought about 300, so it is a step in the right direction and we all know that Rome wasn't built in a day, but we are on an average of 3,387 this year and we really need to do something now. The question is, what?
Still, 2 points, 4th place and the newbie I brought yesterday will be back...
