The league would organise a cameraman to film every game as they do in Oz. They need it to check out anything placed on report. Any incidents and to check the officials. The clubs would get a DVD. How do you think you'd get any video work gets done?
As an example from here, if you were to look up something like:
newcastle knights harold Matthews 2011 - Another Great try.wmv
you can see what I mean and hear all the officials talk as they're miked up in a NSWRL U16s game.

Rugby League in the UK is not on par with Rugby League in NSW.......it's not even close. Down here, every NRL game is on TV, either FTA or Pay TV.....in the UK they get 2 games from 7 every week all on Pay TV only.....
There is 1 camera at every game, sometimes 2, but they are purely there for the highlights that are shown on TV, club sites and SLTV. Video evidence can be used by the disaplinary if needed.

I would hazard a guess that the RFL and not a TV company make sure there that the game gets filmed.
The TV company gets the footage from whoever filmed it.

| Quote BroncOnIon="BroncOnIon"Just a few random thoughts:
I rated our team high for effort and enthusiasm but low for composure and, with a couple of exceptions, for individual skills.
Gower is working really hard to lead from the front but he's trying to do everything and getting knackered as a result.
If Brough hadn't made that interception when we were 6-0 up and well on top, things could have turned out very differently because Hudds were looking shambolic up till then. Though I had to admire the way Brough stepped his way out of it when he'd obviously run out of puff and was about to be caught.
Bench of Dorn, Melling, Krasniqi and Bolger is close to suicide against Hudd's pack.'"

Agreed. There were positives. A marked improvement on Hull (not difficult admittedly). Gower's running the show but getting very little help from everyone else; Really not sure what Robertson offers us. For a supposedly world-beating NRL winger, I have to say I've not been very impressed thus far. Isn't a tackling machine, doesn't seem to be genuinely quick....is it just me?
The irritating thing, as I somewhat drunkenly articulated to The Gob and Paddock post-match, is that Huddersfield were largely awful yesterday, and we still lost by a margin of two tries. We didn't make nearly enough out of the opening 30, where we were completely on top. That lack of killer instinct is going to cost us this season.
On the plus side, at least we weren't caught off-side from a kick off this week.

Apologies, I was thinking of screens! It had been a long day - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Of course there are cameras there, I was sat in front of one!

| Still thought we played as well as we could, Hudds are top 4 and it should have been a hard match!

| Every match is filmed as others say that we see on the tries sequence, at one times all clubs recorded their matches for the coaches to study, at least if used it would give a second option for the referee to assist them in some decisions and for him to be assisted with missed decisions, years ago someone always went along to judge & mark the standard of refereeing for the RFL and I'm sure they still do.

The career of Ade Gardner shows that nearly anyone can be a championship-winning winger if they get the ball 8-10 times a match within 3 metres of the line. I watched Robertson for Manly quite a few times in the last few seasons, and his best performances were at full-back covering for Brett Stewart's absences. He hardly ever drops a high kick, no matter what sort of monsters are hurtling towards him.

Thought Robertson was one of our better performers yesterday

| Don't take this the wrong way, but we were poor yesterday - and you wee even worse. Sorry.
You have more than the nucleus of a good team. So, to me, the problem lies with the coaching staff.
It didn't look as though fitness is a problem as you were still 'fighting' at the end. However, there were a number of occasions when you were slow to get back once you had lost the ball.
I really do hope that your season turns around - and that the crowds improve. RL, & SL in particular, will lose out big time if there is no club in London.
Friendly crowd as usual.
All the best.
Oh, and just for the record, Eorl had the wrong studs in his boots and slipped just before Kaufusi challenged him. Honest!!!

| I was thinking that Hudds were poor, but that was mainly down to them messing up a lot of centre-field plays and dropping the ball. They were in a different world with their offloading though. Very impressive.
I've always rated Brough and he proved his value again yesterday. Cudjoe showed a lot of stepping skill - too much for our defenders.
Make sure Eorl keeps getting his studs wrong please.
