I know what you mean, you get freak results, such as Castleford managing to beat Huddersfield. Lets face it, it won't be happening again this season.

I think given the poor run of results we had going into the game, to turn a 14 point deficit into a 2 point lead was an outstanding achievement. For once when we had a large number of "newbies" in, we performed, meaning there is half a chance of them coming back. Lamont Bryan did well, thought Clubby had his best game for a while as well.

Clubb had been poor for the last two seasons, and i thought giving him a four year contract was ludicrously generous. Fair play, and maybe it was the boost of going on the Four Nations, which in itself says something about the poverty of English centre resources. he has been much better this year and was excellent on Friday. I couldn't believe he wasn't given more chances to run at his oppo, he had his number. If he had a better winger outside him, he'd create huge problems.

Every chance we'll beat them at The Shay. 3rd beating 1st isn't really a freak result is it.

Huddersfield will be playing three(?) home SL matches at Halifax this summer due to pitch repairs at their own ground.



I thought Cas looked a decent side for much of Friday night's match. It was a classic example of how momentum can swing in a very short space of time in RL and a team that looks dead & buried can turn the whole game on its head. A great advertisement for Superleague rugby.



Cas will make the play-offs, possibly with plenty to spare and a home tie, which helps justify the whole franchise system. They'd have been relegated a couple of seasons ago under the old system, but they now have a vibrant team with good young home-grown players coming through.

Thought Cas looked impressive for much of the game. It will be good to see them maintain their run, finish in a decent place in the table and get a good run in the play-offs.



Was I alone in thinking that Danny Orr looked a bit quicker than he he did in his last year with us?

It's called flogging players to death, when mid season they need proper conditioning in training, looks like Leeds are getting the same treatment, the players look lethargic and tired, its not as if their squad lacks experience on the big stage.
