I'm guessing he's trying his best to get Wigan to underestimate Leeds and take all of the pressure off his side.

um so basically he just said that he wants the team to start putting out good performances which they can build on. and that if they do that, the wins will follow.

He said it's not about winning - it's a bloody ridiculous thing for a coach to come out and say. Could you imagine Mike Maguire or Tony Smith coming out with something like that?

playing badly and squeaking out a win in this game isn't going to help them when the playoffs roll around. they need to start putting together consistent performances and letting the results follow.
