After starting the season really good and winning the world club challenge Wigan seemed to have gone down hill badly this past 8 weeks or so. I am seriously worried about our chances against Leigh! If lockers and sam etc was back and escare and flower did not get injured we would hammer Leigh by about 30-40 points tommorow but with lockers missing the team TOTALLY looks like a really poor side! Wane said that Sam Gelling and Bateman would be back for the Leigh game. I think he is resting players for the top 8s but it could all backfire if we lose all remianing games.

Even as bad as things stand it is unimaginable that we won't make the top 8.

If we get Bateman back in the next 2 weeks, yes.

i reckon 5 or 6. we've too much to do now. the gap is too big, our points diff is just silly & we'd be relying on everyone else to royally mess up. of those above us we only play whinos in the regular season.

time for a rest & accept mid-table mediocrity for this year

The thing about being mid table though is that there are lots of four pointers being played all around us. Salford v Hull, Wakey v Leeds, etc. All four can't win!

Correct. We need to get our own house in order and not worry about anybody else. If we can put a good run of wins together we can really challenge.

Not giving up yet - we need to be no more than four points away from the top 4 when the Super 8s start.



That is still doable, particularly if we can sneak a win this week.

Just a few weeks ago I was still very confident of lifting the big one. But getting pipped at Saints, collapsing v Wakey and putting in a rotten performance at Hull has put a huge dent in our chances.



I think top 4 is now 50/50 but if we make the top 4 we'll win the GF IMO. A fully fit Wigan are still the best team in the league when it comes down to the pressure of the playoffs and grinding out the big wins.



So the motivation to start picking points up asap is there for the taking, we just need to remember how to win.

Wigan are actually still second favourites for the grand final!cant believe that.
