What an awful comment. Said by somebody who has obviously never had the experience of playing Full Back and dealing with those type of kicks. The vast majority of Full Back's in the league wouldn't have caught them.



By your own yardstick Sam Tomkins should never be in Wigan colours again either.

Would you like him to replace Wellens?

Wellens would have caught it. Well, he probably wouldn't have got there, but if he did he would have caught it. By the way, that line won't work, I already think Wellens is two years out of date and we should be exploring other in house options in that position.

The irony is that an under 20's match Murphy's parents were saying how Russell wasn't good enough under the high ball to play FB. That was truly dreadful tonight. Doubt we will see him again now. Might see him in the same style jersey but it will be in Leigh.

My scapegoat was around 12 players on that pitch in cherry and white not being mentally good enough. Sinfield was just awesome.
