It would be better in my eyes if we were to get Cats at home and let Stains and Dire bash themselves about, maybe twice before reaching the final.

If we want to win the GF we are going to have to beat the best teams to get there anyway. What a way it would be to do it, by beating St Helens 3 times on the trot and then beating Warrington in the final!

That is exactly what I was trying to say PeaPoi, why should we even attempt to beat our closet rivals three games on the trot, if we can take a potentially easier route to a Final?
People say finishing top doesn't matter (we would have done that anyway), it's all about the play offs, lets make it as easy a route as possible.

Saints could well be coming to our place 3 times in September. The possibility is that we could win 5 times against Saints and still not get to the GF, which would just about be it for me if this top 8 system is retained.

What dilema, even at our lowest point over the last few years, the chance of beating Stains always comes before anything else.
The ginger pearls try in the last minute against them was more pleasing than any of the trys in the Challenge Cup final last year. Nothing feels better than putting our 'noisy neighbours' to sleep.
