I agree. Seriously though all players should call the ref "sir". Whether or not Briers was speaking with his tongue planted in his cheek it's far better than a lot of the whinging and arguing that seems to becoming more common. I'd like an emphasis on penalising dissent from Cummings soon.

Thought Briers played a different role in this game, normally against Wigan he is to the fore of things but in this one he sat back and interjected for the odd (successful) kick. Only once did we get him one when Joel ran all over him and one and if our paths do meet in the grand final our success or failure will depend on us isloating him from the off, something we have had some difficulty doing in the past.

He should have been disciplined for the length of time he took to get to the referee. Weak refereeing.

As an obvious expert, could you please point to the relevant law that states how quickly a player should get to the referee?

So what you're saying is that Briers could have literally taken a week to get to the ref but there is nothing the ref could have done about it under the laws of the game? Really? Pure comedy gold.

Look, I can not stand the guy as he happens to play for an opposing team. However, he illustrated how one should speak to the referee when you are clearly in the wrong. Moreover, I found his little 'respect' act rather amusing.

Agreed and don't have an issue with what he said when he finally got there!



I just thought he made the ref look a bit silly by getting across so slowly (which to be honest the rebel in me enjoyed even if it annoyed me as a Wigan fan!).
