Poor, you reckon? I was lucky enough to watch through the golden years but dont want to harp on about that team. However that was a decent display full stop even comparing it to a side that set far higher standards than we have all seen this year.

For me last night we could have put 60 past them men but we didn't need to and thats a good thing we will have plenty left in the tank for next week



All we have to do is cut these stupid penaltys out

I was quite impressed last night.



HKR's 1st try came off a mistake in our 20. Their 2nd was a bit fortunate, but a nice move off the kick, and the 3rd was from us trying to be too clever seeing the ball dead.



Other than that, we were pretty good IMO.

Yes i am for real. We were poor in the same aspects that we were poor against Leeds. The same mistakes as last week were replicated last night, but luckily we were playing a poorer opposition. If we make the same mistakes next week we will lose..Simples!!

I dont agree at all against leeds we made mistake after mistake in our own 20 giving leeds free reign to score, we didnt do that last night



Against leeds we let a big lead slip and allowed them to control the 2nd hald, that didnt happen last night either in fact after about the 36th minute hullkr looked beaten and dejected, our defence was rock solid keepping out more that 30 + tackles in a row in the 2nd half with the only kr try being sams decision not to put it dead (at a time we were 20 odd points up)

We gave away far too many stupid peanaltys. HKR finished 7th for a reason. We would have lost last night against Saints or Leeds and we need to improve 50% to reach the GF.

Both attack and defense were great last night, imo. Discipline was better but still lots of room for improvement. If we can sort out the penalties we will be unbeatable. It seems we had spells last night were we defended umpteen sets of six without a mistake and I kept feeling, going on our previous form, that a penalty was only a matter of time, but instead we took them to the 5th tackle each time and forced them to kick.

Not really: Silverwood gave too many stupid penalties, for both sides. At least half of the 20-odd penalties shouldn't have been given.

Ah..that old chesnut. Blame the ref. It won't do us any good next week if we don't smarten up.

Not at all - as I said, he was the same for both sides. For example, the two consecutive pens (Lockers & Riddell, I think) leading up to Dobson's kick at goal to make it 14-12 were both completely uncalled for, as were several where the markers were penalised for not being square despite not getting involved in the tackle.

But we gave the Ref the opportunity to peanalise us no matter what the Refs motive may be. Do that next week with Bentham in charge and were scuppered.

I thought we played well and had it not been for some dubious refereeing the margin would have been wider.
