Saying he is the best young talent in the country is arguable, as both he and Myler have been brilliant this year but i know that Wigan fans will be looking at it from your perspective and see Tomkins as the best. Both will be playing for England in the future which in my opinion is the biggest factor. I think its a toss up really.
The guy does have an attitude and for a rival fan he just seems to have the hate factor ala Sean Long. I'm not a big fan of his personality but in terms of talent i'd love him at Cas to pair with Chase.'"
A fair assessment for a change.
Re: The Hate Factor, is usually reserved for the best / most gifted player** of either your rival team, or a team you can't stand. For instance, does anyone at Catalans give you 'the hate factor'? Greg Bird maybe for obvious non playing reasons, but other than that? probably not. That's because I think everyone has a little soft spot for them, they play great rugby at times, are exciting and have grown massively in such a short time against all odds.
** Lee Briers being the obvious exception to this case.

One thing that Tomkins has that Myler doesn't is a good defence.
Myler really struggles on that side of his game.

Tomkins has a better kicking game and a better running game as well. Myler is great running at the line to create stuff. |

I don't get the hate for Tomkins, very talented young English player who is a joy to watch (apart from when playing against us!).
Don't get the big attitude some seem to think about him??
