| Madge musnt think Dom Crosby is ready.. for one reason or another.
Dont get me wrong, he looked awesome for Widnes last week but there must be something holding him back for Madge to bring Hughes back in for him, even though Dom has been 18th man like plenty have said before me.

| I think he will go with Hansen and Hoffman interchanging when needed at prop.

Quote Andy had the minor operation on Tuesday, he had a slight tear in his cartilage but he should be back in a couple of weeks. It will give an opportunity for us to blood a few extras who can come in and do a job for us.Wigan Warriors will be without prop Andy Coley for 2-3 weeks following a minor operation on his knee this week.
The operation on the cartilage was a success but will mean Andy will at least miss the trip to Catalans this weekend and the trip to Castleford Tigers the week after.
Michael Maguire told us,
"Andy had the minor operation on Tuesday, he had a slight tear in his cartilage but he should be back in a couple of weeks. It will give an opportunity for us to blood a few extras who can come in and do a job for us."'"

No coincidence for me that we lost yesterday when he wasn't playing. An integral part of the team that if he isn't replaced properly will leave a huge gap next season.

Him and Prescott were the main reason we dominated against Leeds away in the play-offs and then against Saints in the final. Both were superb.

I think it is a coincidence, unless Coley has the ability to prevent other players from making errors or conceding penalties or can help the team make the most of their chances. By the sounds of things our props didn't do too badly, but replacing Coley with an extra second row doesn't seem to help the pack much. We miss him mainly because there doesn't seem to be any other prop to come in and take his place as Madge seems reluctant to play Davies or Crosby.

Sometimes those errors and penalties occur when you are under pressure because your forwards are losing the battle up the middle. Be interesting to see the highlights which I think are on later tonight.
Coley offers leadership in the front-row as well as plenty of go forward and grunt - more than any of our other props this season for me.

The stats don't seem to back that up, but he does seem to step up when our other props are looking tired after a hard stint and it prevents the opposition from taking advantage. He'll put in a big tackle or two which can shake a players confidence. Size is the main issue for me, with Lima seemingly losing the collision almost every time he takes the ball in then it makes it much harder to play with just 3 props. I'm not convinced that Coley has a huge impact on the team now as he seems to have been struggling with his knees since the start of the year, but without Fielden and Coley from last year that's the bulk of the experience and two big forwards missing from the front row.

Disagree with you mate. Coley is our most consistent prop - even playing injured all season he has put the hard graft in. I also think that the impact he has isnt just physical but mental regarding his leadership on and off the pitch. Madge picks this guy week in week out - yet you seem to continuosly say he is playing poorly and not the best prop etc. Mossop has been fantastic this year and will get better and better but Coley will be missed when he retires.

Good theory that. I was bothered about going with only 3 props against Cats and your theory could have easily cost us the game - would be interested to know what the travelling fans views are?
