Wouldn't go that far, they brought about 2k that day which wasn't so bad I guess considering most followings in super league are poor.
The turn out for the play-off game at our place was one of the worst I have seen.
Anyway, E-Ticketing suggest about 16k sold... if you add on the prawn sandwich brigade it is probably around 16,500. That is fantastic the day before the game with two full days of selling left plus the walk up crowd with the away fans on top of that. 17-18k easily for this game.
This totally backs up the clubs decision to use Hudds for the big one 3. I had fears that we wouldn't get a big enough crowd to make it feel like a 'big' game but we did.
Had the club chosen Leeds we would have got 20k but only our usual 13k ish for the Hudds game. Instead we got 19k for the Hudds game and are likely to get around 17-18k for the Leeds game. That works out at 4,000 extra fans through the gates than we would have got.
