Is there any news on Gelling and Williams?

I have played in games where supporters were dragged out of the bar and asked to play. I just did not expect it at this level.

Who do we have left? I imagine that Tierney will come back in to contention, as will Forsyth, but is there any chance of Higginson or is he still injured? If we can find a centre to go with Forsyth, what about Escare to the halves and Fell to full back? Is he still with us? Marshall has looked steady under the high ball if we can get Budgy out of the centres could do a job. I cannot think of any youngsters other than these and Gregson who are ready to step up in the backs. As for the forwards Bretherton and Navrette would be next in line followed by a couple of the DR lads.

Another problem on the horizon is that we are getting down towards the cup tied lads come the Cup game and may have fewer choices there as well.

Does anybody remember saying how great things will be when we get our full team out on the pitch?

It's just pretty boring now. It feels like it's been going on for over two years and it just frustrates everybody. As a fan you want to turn up and be entertained and it's tough for the side to do that with so much disruption.



We'll have to keep doing it tough. The side could be totally patched up on Friday. May going in to June could get very messy for us. The injury situation is getting that ridiculous that I'm sat here thinking daft things like why don't we just write a couple of month off and wrap the actual fit players in cotton wool. Play a strong team in the cup rounds and rest up in between.



Like I say it's daft to think like that but I've never known anything like this run of injuries.

Ben Flower has confirmed on twitter that he has ruptured his achilles.

As a Salford fan I have to admit I'm more than happy for your injury problems to mount up for another week given our abysmal record at your gaff!

We were missing Sa'u, Mossop, Griffin, O'Brien, T Carney, J Carney & Hauraki today which shows we have a bit more squad depth than we're given credit for. Fortunately we have 2 fit halves and Evalds came back in at FB and was pretty much flawless. I'd imagine we'll have 2 or 3 of those named above back for next week as well.



If we can't beat you on Friday with your injury list then it ain't ever gonna happen!!



If any of you fancy a flutter get a fiver on Ben Murdoch-Masila first try. Another 2 yesterday and pretty much unstoppable from 5 metres out.

McIlorum has also been charged for "standing on an opponent". EGP available.

A team that would surely win far more games than they'd lose but all unavailable for Salford. Only Sutton in with a chance of recovering in time. Long night ahead I think!!
