They have a seperate player of the year award. The Man of steel award is designed for the player that "has made the most impact" for that season therefore Sam is a worthy winner. |

I meant in the UK. However Roby obviously aside, you give Sam Tomkins the standard of coaching and competition week in week out that the players mentioned received and he would easily hold his own and possibly surpass quite a few of them too IMO.
A sublime talent. I pray we don't lose him to Union. |

See, I would disagree. ST is tough as teak.
He has to be, how many times do we see him hit by a 3-4 man tackle when running the ball in, with players giving him some 'sneaky extras' just cause of who he is? There are times he gets an absolute battering with the ball. In addition his defence at times is astonishing for such a 'slight lad'.
At least Westwood has size on his side. |
