Dearden is a pain in the neck though and the way and what they read out from 'the texts' is bringing our game into disrepute. It always seems to be a slagfest against Wigan.

Trevor Hunt will do anything EXCEPT give a commentary on the game. Instead, he's too busy talking about the upcoming phone-in, latest football scores, sports headlines etc. THERE'S A BLOODY GAME ON. COMMENTATE ON IT.

And as for Phil "it's so unfair for Wigan, all this salary cap rubbish" Kinsella , he's hardly anti Wigan. is he?



The best thing for all concerned at Radio Manchester's RL coverage, is to tear it up, and start again with new people.



Their whole coverage is cringe inducing (especially the sending in of texts for the phone in. They make some of the arguements on here, seem intellectually highbrow

)

Problem is the game interms of the media is not that important. And generally you will get the worst ones covering our games. As for Stevo and Eddie i do really think they know what they are doing, they will know that most Wigan supporters think they are biased so will play on it. I dont think that Stevo is that bad but Eddie is defenitley covering our games lately looking to jump on us.

As soon as the football kicks off RL is back to fill in on the GMR sports section. I am thankful for the couple of months when the sports don't collide and you can get a full afternoon of RL commentary and phone in section. Its not the best coverage but at least its available. I have heard complaints about the Leeds and Hull radio coverage so its not just a GMR issue; until something better comes along we are stuck with it.

), and Eddie is literally praying that Wigan get back in the game, especially his half time analysis.



On the whole, I don't know why Eddie and Stevo get so much stick.



Yes, they can act like a couple of plonkers from time to time.



Stevo is biased to Leeds/Bradford, Eddie is a Wid, with a (definate) Stains leaning, when the Wids aren't in SL.



To those of you who think Eddie is a closet Wire...you couldn't be further from the truth.

I've known the fella for about 7 or 8 years, and he's NEVER had a good word to say about us, to me, especially under the Tony Smith era. All he's done recently, is acknowledge that we've improved 10 fold in the last couple of years. When we were 5h1te, he couldn't wait to "stick the knife" into us.



Apart from Eddie making the odd gaffe during commentary, these 2 are good BROADCASTERS. Yes, they may wind us all up, from time to time, but are we going to get someone better? It could be worse. We could get Dearden/Hunt on Sky

I just feel that Eddie is playing the panto villan to us on occasions and he knows it. As you say Stevo is Yorkshire through and through. But when i do watch some union most of their commentators are just as bad only 1 i like is Brian Moore he will call what he sees but you can still feel the passion for England in him. Eddie seems to look for mistakes we make and miss others from the opposition. Then again i have only seen a few Wigan games on SKy this season maybe its the same for other teams.

No it was a ticketing mess up on the internet, people went to buy tickets that were 'sold out' when they were not, read our board you'll find out.

Ah right, thought it was odd as the guy I was talking to obviously believed there weren't any tickets to be had - he'll be gutted when he finds out why he couldn't get one
