You can discount that. According to Boots'n'all it's only Leeds. They never once mentioned on Friday or on tonights programme that we (Saints) had any injuries to our first choice 13/17 yet Hudds injuries kept getting a mention. If you live or play this side of the Pennines you don't suffer from injuries.

You have 4 missing. Deacon and Phelps are scrapping the barell. Thats like saying Dean and Lomax would be in our 17 as they was before they got injured.



Soliola, Eastmond, Wheeler, Dean, Lomax, Gardner, Wilkin, Dixon and Faasavalu. Whether some of them play i do not no. Soliola, Wilkin, Faasavalu, Wheeler, Dean and omaxare definately out.

Phelps was a starter until he got injured. What part of that dont you understand?

Neither Pryce nor Goulding were Wigan's first choice wingmen when the season started. Our initial back three was Roberts - Phelps - Richards. Only injuries forced this to be re-jigged.

So was Chris Dean. Would he replace Gary Wheeler now ?

Exactly. Just because a couple of squad players have stood up and played really well doesnt mean the injured fella isnt first choice when fully fit. If Phelps hadnt of got injured one of those two probably wouldnt of even got a game.

No because Pat Richards would then play on the wing. He is only filling in at full back. HTH

Whether you like it or not, Pat Richards is first and foremost a winger. That's where he is more effective in attack.



Amos Roberts would be full-back ahead of Richards, but he too was signed and played most of last season as a winger. Phelps has the Wigan no. 1 shirt. He only lost it when he was injured. He would have returned against Castleford two weeks ago had he not been injured again.



I wouldn't try to argue that he'd hold the shirt down all season without any question. But Mike Maguire has a rotational system and uses a top level of about 17 players very regularly. Cameron Phelps was defnitely a big part of his plans.

So which of Amos/Richards/Gleeson/Carmont/Pryce or Goulding would Phelps be replacing if he was fit?



Which of Tomkins/Tommy/Riddell/McIlorum would Deacon be replacing?



In reality you have 3 out who would play and one who might, whereas Saints have 6 first choice players out, 5 of whom have played international rugby recently. It's no comparison and is pretty much par for the course this year.

Well the back line would be

Phelps

Amos Gleeson Carmont Richards



That is the 1st Choice



And i would think Deacon would replace McIlorum on the bench so Tommy could move to 9

But thats just my thoughts
