| Well, Red Bull got the champion they wanted by completing screwing up Webber's race with a strategy decision - well done to them. He was clearly the bait to get Alonso to jump on an early pit stop and Ferrari fell for it, dropping them both back into the midfield on one of the dullest circuits in the F1 calendar.
Hopefully Webber will tell them where they can stick their race seat over the winter and find himself a team who will treat him with a bit more respect and dignity for 2011.

Webber is still with Red Bull for next season.

| Vettel is a great "driver" but not a great "racer." He is very quick in qualifying and during races where he does not have to deal with overtaking. Hamilton and Alonso are probably more complete drivers, but clearly their cars were a level below the Red Bull.
Hamilton and Vettle were the two who deserved it the most this year. Hamiltons shocking DNF list this year and still in a position to win at the last race! That's impressive if you ask me.

Whether he'll drive again will be how his hand recovers from the partial severance it suffered. I wish Robert Kubica the best of luck as well in his recovery and his coming back in 2012.

| With the new season about to start I thought i'd bring the thread back to the front page.
It's looking like it's going to be Red bull v Ferrari to start the season with McLaren struggling in testing for the new season. If Hamilton or Button don't win it this year i'd like it to be Webber as I think his chance to win the title could be closing and I like him even though he's an Aussie
I'm not happy that a team with the history of Williams had to drop a good young driver in Hulkenburg to get a driver that will bring money to the team,it shows how far down the pecking order they have gone that they have to get a drivers money to help fund the team.
It's good to see the Lotus Renault team are bringing back the old JPS black and gold colours form the past, bring back a few good memories from watching F1 on tv as a kid with my dad.

| Webber won't win it this year. He's not going to get a fair crack at Red Bull no matter what platitudes Horner might trot out in interviews, they'll be focused on Helmut Marko's love child retaining his title.
Be interesting to see how much the changes at Ferrari post-season have influenced the way they do things.
McLaren have taken a massive gamble going to Australia with a virtually untested floor and exhaust system. It could be a masterstroke, or it could blow up in their faces spectacularly. Another season of being off the pace and you wonder whether they will be able to retain two very ambitious drivers.
Sadly I think the gap back to the rest will be bigger in 2011 than it was in 2010, with Renault and Mercedes the best of the rest scrapping for points in the midfield.

| Not a great GP to start the season but i've watched worse.Vettel never looked troubled but Hamilton did well to finish 2nd.Petrov finishing 3rd makes me think how well Kubicka would have done this season.Webber failed again in his home race.I think Button could have been on the podium if not for his 'incident' with Massa.I'm sure there will be a lot better GP's to come this season.

| Another easy win for Vettle today,it's starting to look like the days of old when Schumacher dominated the season from start to finish,McLaren and the rest need to do something quick or the drivers championship will be over by July this year.

| Another race and another Vettle pole and win.I had high hopes that this season would be exiting but it looks like it's over already. In contrast to the boring F1 season the Indy 500 has just finished with the leader crashing on the final bend and Brit Dan Weldon who was in his 1st race this season passed the leader on the final straight to win.
