5500 for Jds last ever home game

All I will say is there are fans and then there are supporters the supporters may moan and groan I have a lot this season but at least I get off my backside and make the effort.

5500 just about sums up the fickle bunch that are the Wakefield public

I must admit, I was really surprised when I heard the figure. And you guys have got it all to play for as well, nevermind JD.

Whilst I have every sympathy with what you are saying, the truth is that for most - even the hard-nosed ones - this has been a terrible season.



Even whilst we were at least giving it a go today, the opposition were several grades better than us - playing in second gear. But for the forward passes and missed convesrions we would have seen 60 past us today.



As you know, I would so love for this club to be great again, but the challenge is there for the club to enthuse the paying public of Wakefield and to invest in our future on the field as well as off it, because what we have at the moment seems a long way from being a good product. If we don't recruit some better quality players, I fear that the good work done towards the stadium will not be enough!



The challenge is there for the club - either invest in some quality, or face up to the consequences!



Oh - and to JD - thanks, it's been a blast!

In fairness, the people you're criticising are the ones that will make up the mythical extra numbers that some people seem to expect to come out of the woodwork when/if NM happens; JD's last game means nothing to them - they just want to see a decent team winning some matches, something that's been totally lacking for the majority of this bloody awful season.



Don't blame them for not coming - blame the club for not attracting them. It needs sorting.

Can't go with that - it was a decent performance compared with many this year - but we were never in the game and never threatened to win the game. I want better than that!

very hard to stomach today's game as it was well against us in the odds, just the fact that it was our last home game v wires was worth the trip to watch as they are proving to be a force now after years of doing naff all, what the difference a new stadium has done to them,



JD can hold his head up for the effort that he has put into keeping in SL and I'm sure he will find another club wanting him soon,



as for the fans, well a neighbour fancied coming today but chose a to go for dinner with the family instead,

It just got a whole lot worse for you though when Ben Jeffries got the man of the match

best I have seen of them for a while. No we were not in the game as such but we were decent in spells.

Agreed, but....



I thought Korki and Charlie were really poor and ineffective. Moore and King were much more dynamic. Latu was one of our best (and he's leaving), and the rest were chasing shadows at times.



However, being a little more positive, there was enough there to suggest that we COULD have a chance in the last 2 games.
