Yes it does. We were not at the races today's story in the first half. The attacking options and plays/runners were non-existent.
Hull defended well but then again they didn't have to try hard against us banging it up the middle and back into the ruck area.

We missed Mathers coming into the line and Poore's running and tackling in the middle tonight by the sounds of it. Small squad so always need our best 17 to be competitive and tonight showed that possibly. |

We were beaten by a better team on the night...plain and simple!
We lacked any go forward at all in the first half and after a not bad opening 15 minutes or so, Hull had a purple patch of about 10-15 minutes where they ultimately won the game.....through that period and right up to half time we were as bad as I've seen this season and were extremely lucky not to be 30+ points behind....
We were much, much better 2nd half and the forwards got much more into it and our go forward was a lot, lot better.......it was a killer to go 20 points behind as that was a mountain to climb.....we had plenty of possession and territory we just couldn't turn it into points.....just sheer strength from Ali got him over......if we could have scored again pretty quick after that and got back to 20-12 with 15 to go then who knows but Hull's defence was tremendous and they were very worthy winners in the end I thought....
It will hopefully be a learning curve for us and hope we can pick ourselves up and get some points on the board in the next few games.....there's some winnable ones coming up.....thought we badly missed the presence of someone like Poore tonight, especially in that first half....
Ah well.......well done to Hull...
