Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"1. Why are we in such a corner than only an act of magic can save us from being refused a franchise?
2. I hope you will, as i hope everyone will, the CARNAGE that we are currently picking our way through, will take time to clear up, hopefully we will all see enough along the way to see that there is something worth it at the end of the tunnel.'"
Do I really need to answer that?
We are about to vacate our ground to move to another town - there is no going back, certainly not where SL is concerned.
We have been in admin, I know that hurdle has been removed but it's still in peoples minds and I would not be surprised if it conveniently comes back in true RL style.
We may finish bottom and that could easily count.
All the above can be overcome - if - time doesn't run out. Time is the one thing AG can't stop or slow down. Oakwell can only ever be considered temporary. So NM has to happen and if it gets delayed too long then our position weakens for the next franchise - assuming we make it this time. If it doesn't happen IMHO we have no future and will just whither and die in Barnsley. I'm optimistic but also realistic.
I do know about the Stadium, as a member of the SWAG committee from the start. Although the "old regime" made a few minor boo boos they generally got it right. Both the Community Stadium and now N/M broke down or in N/M case stalled through no fault of the clubs and I don't think even you would argue that. So it's taken us 7 years to get to where we are, so my gut feeling tells me that things will continue to move slowly. It's going to be a real balancing act, that said AG may be a lucky owner and things might go our way, who knows.
If there is a conspricy to remove us from SL they will never have a better chance than now, I don't think I'm being over dramatic. I don't actually believe there is one but many seem too.
On your second point, fair enough.
