The problem is we pay Amazon prices but buy from Wish.com
We looked online and then paid high street prices, then those in charge blamed the supporters for not attending in greater number. Judging the money wasted on some 'players' maybe not having full cap to spend is a blessing in disguise.

I still ask myself why do British coaches feel the need to buy overseas players based on their You Tube highlights, pay big bucks, and just because they [uwere[/u NRL players must be better than what we have over here. There is a reason why they aren't NRL players anymore. |

Don’t 100% agree with this mate. For every Atoni you get a Paul Aiton. Atoni was a regular draw at the Bulldogs before going to the Roosters. Although it obviously means diddly squat as he’s been atrocious in my opinion. |

The recruitment wasn't always bad thought, its only in the last couple of years where we have started really failing and clearly cutting back on the playing budget.
2017 we brought in the likes of Huby, Randall and Sam Williams all 3 of which were good signings and all 3 of which would not be considered cheap options. 2018 we brought in the likes of Rocky and Justin Horo and Pauli Pauli all 3 of which are miles better than anything we brought in this year. Even in 2019 we brought in Kelepi, Kopzcak and George King, again all much better than anyone we have signed recently. It isn't just a case of them turning out to be good signings, they all looked like good signings on paper as well.
The board cut the budget and the quality of signings went downhill and no mater how much you blame Chester for signing the likes of Hood, Lineham and Gaskell, the board who lets face it are not rugby people still signed off on those deals.
