It might give the place a temporary lift but its big ask for him to be the Messiah. He’s been playing a bit of bush level footy in Australia but his fitness is going to be way off the level required. And at all but 34 it ain’t going to be that easy to just switch it back on. And it also very much depends in who is is replacing on the quota.

You can’t just de-register players.

Big Dave would go down a treat and would and should be seen as a positive move. For a club that doesn't do positive that's quite a turn round.

Swop out Atoni for Fifita then no doubt there is an instant improvement. That's not what I find commical. Its the fact we're in this situation in the first place.

Swapping out Atoni for anybody would be an improvement.

If I was Dave I'd leave it I the past. Went out a hero. I love him dearly but there is a risk here that he spoils his legacy.
