This was a post I made after last years defeat at home to the Giants. A number of the players might have changed but the majority of the comments remain valid IMO.



I do not like to criticise JK but as others have already said the bench was far too lightweight. Murphy should have been at FB as our three wins coincided with him being there using his pace to good advantage. Blanch should have started on the wing and blaymire not have been included. King should have been on the bench.



Gleesons position has also got to be under threat as his defensive positioning his awful leaving Morton forced to come infield and giving Hodgson the room he needed to make breaks/score

Even when the game was well and truly gone and we had nothing to lose by throwing the ball about, we still persisted in the main with the 5 drives and a very poor kick option. On the couple of occasions we did try to through the ball about, we actually made a couple of half breaks.

theres not alot more he could have posted to be honest, but in all fairness i dont think huddersfield will be too far from the top of the table this season and they have always been your bogey team so it was probbably just a one off for you.

question. if the opposition have the ball and have five men on the left hand side of the field. how many defenders do we need to have there?



a. 5

b. 2

c. i have absolutely no idea.



its not a complicated game really is it?.why did we take morrisson out of that position where he has played (very well) all games so far?

i still think something has gone on behind closed doors this week, that was not the same team i've been watching this year



something is a miss

I've seen both sides of the coin today, watching my lads team demolish a good shaw cross side, and then watch Wakey being shown how to play the game,

there was some good tries to watch from an outsider

This is the way we often play against Hudds. There seems to be, for whatever bizarre reason, an alarmingly poor level of application when we play against them. More often than not, anyway. Some of the missed tackles were unforgivable at all levels of the game.
