Think it's a mistake if the club has financed him to go to Aus when we haven't secured our own young players here and we don't have money to put a squad of 26 together for next season.

Tend to agree, he's been told to find a half to replace Smith, I dont think what Trinity can offer will secure anyone of note, they may as well put the funding into what we have.

It's holiday time for our guys, he has a lot of contacts down there, it's a great place to go, so maybe he's just combining work with leisure (at his own expense)?

Perhaps it was arranged ages ago, perhaps the national French team are paying for his stay?

Well the players, for a start. Justin Poore stated he wanted to remain at Wakey because he's pleased with the way he's progressed under Richard Agar.

And he was decent enough before he came to us. If it applies to him, maybe it'll apply to some of the other wannabes? It's not always about the instant cash, or shouldn't be. What players could get from the next 2 years may be worth many times that in the future.

Richard Agar has paid for the trip to Australia himself not the Club.

Does he not do this every off season, he gets involved with coaches and uses contacts in Aus.



I have never been Richards biggest fan but i will support him and he needs to cut some slack IMO.

He may just turn up another Henry Paul, its happened before.

One thing we consistently do is add value to players whose careers have stalled. Unwanted players we have taken on in recent years include Atkins, Ferres, Kirmond, Cockayne,George, T Smith, Amor,Tronc......some incentive there for players who need a second chance.

Always a gamble but lets face it we have had some cracking players that were not known names before they came.Yes we have had some right rubbish at the same time but when moneys tight I would be looking to secure Kay and Wildie at the very least.

Nothing was mentioned about Wilde last night but, Kay has been made an offer by the club but, his agent was demanding 3X the figure that we offered ????



Although we all have to put food on the table and nobody can blame anyone for taking up a better offer elsewhere, there should be some loyalty in the opposite direction and perhaps some of the players should be wanting to help the club go forward, not just looking for a fast buck elsewhere.
