| Quote vastman="vastman"That's fine, however I don't think you get it - we are leaving Wakefield that's for certain unless a miracle occurs and we need to survive whether you like it or not. So what's your alternative, if it's less ridiculous I'd run with it,'"
I understand why we would move to Dewsbury. I don't like it, but I understand. There's no need at all to drop Wakefield from our name.

| For Wakefield to have any future, in a RL context, it's critical that wherever the team plays, they remain as, Wakefield Trinity.
The major issue would be IF we moved out of the city permanently, in which case "we" should adopt the name of our new home, like Ossett Trinity (yes, I know they have a football team of that name) or wherever else we end up.
IF we moved any significant distance "Wakefield", over a period of time, would lose their identity and we'd all be better off getting used to it.
There would be no sense at all having Newcastle Trinity or Coventry Trinity. This would be merely paying lip service to the fact they may have "bought" our licence, which would be a very, very sad day for the City of Wakefield.
Having said that, the City doesn't give toss about the club and whether it lives or dies.
Mr Box has made this blindingly clear.

| Dewsbury's ground is about 50 metres the wrong side of the Wakefield/Kirklees boundary. Let's put pressure on Box to negotiate a land swap with Kirklees - we get the stadium, they get a bit of Wakefield MDC in return. Bingo!

| As much as we may think the Council had let us down I am Wakefield born and bred and am proud of that. I started watching Wakefield Trinity over 55 years ago and I was pleased when we reverted back to Wakefield Trinity.
Wakefield Trinity had to remain our name, nothing more or less.

| Quote Prince Buster="Prince Buster"Of all the good things MC has done, bringing back TRINITY ranks amongst the best.
=#FF0000As far as Wakefield is concerned, the City centre is becoming a third world dump and the council are an inept embarrassment. I once was proud of Wakefield but rapidly I am loosing all loyalty.
TRINITY playing up the road at Owl Lane is far more appealing to me than walking through the back streets of filth and degradation to that dump we call a ground.'" I was travelling through town and turned down Market street, sat outside reflex was 4 Europeans ed to high heaven sat supping out of the vodka bottles and that was at 12'oclock, its becoming a right hole

Methinks that Dewsbury Rams may object to playing in "Wakefield", KH. We could offer Kirklees St Catherines Street as an enclave in exchange though.

That will have been Artem and his gang, enriching Wakefield with their Eastern European culture. We had to call the paramedics once as he was laid out on Cliff Parade absolutely sozzled. When they arrived they were on first name terms with him, said he was one of their 'regulars'.
