Good news in my book.

Good post, I'm chuffed, time to concentrate on Rocky the player.

I'm delighted because Rocky has a bit of swagger with him, a bit of attitude (competitive -call it what you will) and a team needs that.

I think this coming two years will be the making of Rocky: especially if he can get a regular position that he can call his own (hopefully scrum half). He will blossom into the great footballer we all know he can become. The Cas, Wigan and Leigh years were not particularly helpful in his development. It's the two years and regular games with us that has brought him to the player he is.

On the Trinity twitter site there is a short interview with Ryan, and he says there has been a lot of nasty and negative stuff being said about him regarding his contract saga. On this forum 99% of the Wakefield fans have been fully behind Ryan getting a contract and the 1% who wasn't concerned if he left or not certainly was not nasty, so what or who is he referring to in this interview.

My guess is that both he and MC when referring to social media mean Facebook and Twitter, both of which are essentially un-moderated. Compared to those this forum is like a gentleman’s club.



I’ve seen nothing nasty on here, differing opinions but not nasty, unless PT has taken some offensive posts down that I’ve not seen.

I’ve been sent screenshots of personal vicious attacks on me on Facebook by various people. I presume rocky has had the same

Yup I’ve had my run ins with PT but having dabbled on Facebook once this place is like a haven.



If it’s any consolation I doubt most are paying fans, there people who latch on whenever there is a negative issue. All clubs have them I’m afraid. Face book and Twitter allow people to get carried away and they do so most often when they have had a few. I reckon it should be an offence to go on social media when over the limit





Social media is a part of life these days, I’m not a fan but it but it simply can’t be ignored so I wish you all the best as it can’t be easy getting the clubs point of view across, ditto Ryan.

It doesn't bother me. Only when my mrs or kids see it. There's 2 in particular that will be ejected next season if spotted in attendance (one of them is banned anyway)

Definately not good when your kids see that, I can sympathise there



Social media can be good at times, but in other ways, quite damaging. I do facebook and twitter, but nothing else, and have even considered coming off those at times. There are too many idiots who just like the sound of their own voices. and don't consider those around them. Although I haven't come off them, I do have breaks from social media forum groups every so often, I have even done it with the Northstanders page from time to time.

It never ceases to amaze me the depths of ignorance and cowardice on the Internet.

You just have to read the comments under any celebrity or personal news item to see it.



Anonymity is their weapon so I particularly like it when the person being attacked screenshot it and shares it back to the world. They soon recoil under the spot light.

When I was a youngen many moons ago, my mum and dad used to say that the television was the devils creation, but I’m afraid it’s social media now. I don’t do FB and Twitter or any of that sheite, but have been messaged on here accused of something on FB obviously mistaken identity by the certain person. It takes a level of intelligence to hold a conversation face to face but obviously not to push a button
