Quote Scarlet Pimpernell="Scarlet Pimpernell"The problem we face is not only the score line but the increased injury risks we are putting on the inexperienced. I know they have to start somewhere but not in such numbers against an aggressive team like Catalan.
I am sure some are suffering with injuries of convenience, they may have a niggle but not one that would usually stop them playing. I hope they realise that to redeem themselves for the risks they are passing onto the younger players they need to put a top rated performance in the next home game, when I expect many will have miraculously recovered.'"
I'm not quite understanding the animosity. Half the oeople missing are clearly injured or banned.
Lino hasn't played and we were told last week he wouldn't be ready. This isn't the game to play an unfit player, especially if you need him for rest of season.
Lyne can't play and Gaskell is clearly injured.
I'd have liked Fifita but the other props were OK last week. Tanginoa was easily the worst. Glad Whitbread and Aydin have their chance.
The real issue is at half back. I don't know why Miller isn't in but the others are valid misses.
Let's just see how they go.
