No, but there are issues linked to access to the rugby ground.

| I don't think for one minute that the Muslim community gives a toot about R L and the club in the area. I can see this becoming very messy and the council will have to take care . The one things that's for sure is that the Muslim community will band together to raise funds in a very short period of time.
What's next on the agenda from the club's point of view.

| So thing at a critical stage . Can the fans assist now and if not should we be prepared to jump to it at a later stage.
Good luck .

Nothing planned at this stage, but it could change quite quickly.
The ACV had to wait until a new lease was in place and then another of technical issues were resolved, but was one of the issues we've been dealing with.

| Quote TRB="TRB"No, that's not right - unless they intend to use it as a Rugby League ground, for it is registered as valued to the Rugby League fans and its community. Anyone else wanting to buy it would be seen as outside our community.
You do know this is good news and something we've been working on for a long time!?'"
It still doesn't mean the bank has to sell it to the trust. If, for example, the trust offers the 600K and the Mosque group offers 700K, whose bid do you think they will take even it it means waiting a few extra months? And once they have it expect the rent to quickly go up unsustainable levels at the reviews and the change of use can then be applied for once they have got shut of us. The ACV may be helpful in that it buys us time but it doesn't really change much ultimately. I don't wish to undermine anyones efforts on achieving this but i'd be a lot more confident of it's effectiveness if it was a different group we were bidding against, they will throw as much money at this as needed to get the result they want.

| I thought the "Mosque" group were only interested in the Super bowl building not BV? Isn't the idea to convert SB into a mega mosque?

Of course they don't have to sell to the Trust but they cannot sell to anyone but the Trust for 6 months. They may choose to wait but using your example.
What if the £700,000 bid has conditions attached such as obtaining planning etc. But the £600,000 is unconditional. The bank can have £600,000 now or wait a fair amount of time, possibly 12 months or more with all the associated risks of the deal falling through. They may choose to take the unconditional offer.
Also a simple solution in your example is that the Trust could increase its bid to £700,000'.
One thing is clear that without the ACV we would not be having this discussion, we could bu out of Belle Vue .

The trust could up their bid but so could the other party. And in the meantime the bank is still earning revenue from us via the rent so another 12 months probably won't matter to them so much if the gain at the end is greater. In fact they could push the rent cost back up themselves in october to force the issue.
Apologies but i'm just overly negative where this club and ground issues are concerned. Its been one disappointment after another for so long that until i see the deeds back in the club/trusts name then i'm scepitical of anything going right!

| Can anyone enlighten me as to why it is so wrong for one stand up for the traditions and beliefs that one was raised with.
All I ever ask for is fairness, not the suppression of the above feelings.
That has absolutely nothing to do with racial or religious prejudice.
The irony is that some sectors are allowed to vociferously and aggressively progress their beliefs.
On a personal level I have worked with and socialised with people from a wide variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds.
I say again fairness ,not political correctness.
Let's all hope that the above appertains as decisions are made which will affect so drastically the future of the Rugby League Club I love so much.

The other party cannot up their bid in the 6 months moratorium - only the Trust can negotiate during this period. If the seller wants to allow other parties to up their bids he has to wait 6 months and do it all again.
I can understand your frustration but how do you think we who are living and breathing this pretty much everyday feel. Others involved in this process will agree that I'm one of the most cynical bar stewards that there is but we have to go along with what's happening and hope for a positive outcome because the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.
