I did try several times 12 months ago to raise some doubts about the way the club was going and got told off, apparently what i said was harming the clubs image.

I remember you saying and the tell tale signs raised my own suspicions, but I didn't expect this.

However there is a real problem here that dogs us all.



Sad fact is that although it's AG and JE you want to expose whatever you do damages the name of the club as opposed to the individuals - it really stinks.



I don't know the complete answer I just know that exposure however morally correct is not always the right course - basically for me it just makes the survivors job (us) more difficult.



Honestly I feel for you and others as it's areally nasty stuff when you think about it, I was also struggling with it all be it different damaging information but chose to keep quite because I couldn't see it doing any good i.e. speeding up their removal.



Lets just hope this new bloke is straight and boring (in a good way).

Its been hard at times not to say more and I respect you're view of saying nothing.



MC is not the new messiah for this club but what he's done has been done well and he is honest.

And for that I thank him and the hard working staff at the club.

That's what I was referring to, I don't want anyone to misinterpret wat I was saying, I'm as disgusted as anyone at the non payment to the hospice as I've had close family nursed there in their final days.

I know we talked a bit back and the usual tittle tattle can get distorted, some of the things I've heard I wouldn't like to repeat especially our friend Jason on here who we haven't seen post in some time.

I also had a pop at Baz in the way his initial post could do harm to the club in season tickets sales and other income when he mentioned about the troubles within the club finances, this wasn't in anyway blinkering the poor way that it was being run just more of fear that we could end up nothing but a name in history.



Reading this has just angered me more and I one wished I'd been more verbal, again we are having to start from fresh so the like of this crap publicity like this isn't going to give MC trustworthy start he needs from the fans and paying public.



What the Wakefield fans have done in the past supporting Brennan Rooney, Adam Watene, Leon Walker, Wakefield hospice and not forgetting our own little Leon and the cas girl who needed surgery has all been over shadowed by this disgraceful act.

Disgusted as all other posters on here. I think that MC has to be proactive on this one with regard to public relations, because I feel that it will be in the media next week (Express at least) and he has to go on a damage limitation exercise with regard to WT and deflect the blame to the real 'guilty' individuals.

The other point is what we , as fans can do. For the retailer we could buy via the club shop the traditional shirts (with a guarantee to our supplier).

We as fans could also do our bit by raising funds for the charities concerned by the traditional ways (walks etc), but perhaps a match day/fund raising day when we play perhaps Broncos or Les Cats. I haven't looked at the fixtures, but if it is a few months away it could be organised in order to give the most beneficial effect.

Would someone like to pick up the baton with regard to thoughts/ideas?

Not sure if my legs could stand up to another walk but willing to try, we could use a wheel barrow for rest period

It's very difficult when an organisation with a tarnished reputation is taken over by new owners; I've been in a similar position in a professional capacity and it took me two years of hard work, schmoozing and PR to remove the stink - by far the most effective of those by the way, was hard work; going about what (to me) was a new business with integrity, honesty and transparency and letting people see for themselves that we were doing things in a different way.



It's irksome when the club is referred to (take a look at the nutty forum) as 'scroungers' and the misdeeds of past regimes are levelled at the new one, but the only healer will be an honest operator and time - eventually, people will see that MC is (hopefully) doing the right thing and faith will be restored based on what's happening now, not what happened in the past.



In the meantime, it would be a good gesture if the club dedicated one of the first home games of the season to Wakefield Hospice and made sure there were bucket collections and such in the ground - and if I were MC, I'd be on the phone to them now to get that set up so that if this does go to the media, they're compelled to say that the new owner has taken steps to repair the damage.

You've got to feel for MC and all associated with the club at the moment, He must be sat there thinking wtf have done to disserve all this.

Stick at it MC and I hope it doesn't spoil your Christmas.
