The fact that there are doubts about 3 of our top four props is as much of a concern as Smiths injury. We need at least two of those fit and firing to have a chance of competing imho. Fingers crossed they are ok.

if its bruising that looks bad enough to be mistaken for a break, Im not sure it'll clear up in time for the Bradford game, so id not be expecting to see Tim smith again until week two at the very earliest, possibly week 3.

I badly bruised my leg playing rugby. Was on crutches for few weeks. About a month till I was right.



Either way its not good news. This pre-season has not need kind going into 2013.

Lets hope its just a bad knock as Wood wont be ready but gives another squad member a chance to show what they have or not as the case might be.

I too suffered a similar injury in which the bone had cracked and not a clean break, the bone could of splinted and when snapped tend to pop through the leg

my recovery time was eased as I didn't need to wear a pot and had a heavy strapping to keep it in place

Not sure if I'm happy now that we've got teams at our level for the first few games. No Smith could be decisive in us dropping a few big games. If he's going to be out, I'd rather we got rid of the Wire and Wigan away games, if you know what I mean. The first six games are all ones where we could pick up points and against teams who will be round about us by the end. Bummer.

A Glover said there should be updates today but he doesnt know at the moment so coulden't tell. Im praying hes fine, if not he can have my leg!
