We want cover and we also want quality and we don't have the money for both. The whole point of the Academy scheme is that's where the cover comes from. Kershaw sat somewhere between the two but to keep him it would appear it would cost us more than we thought he was worth. It's the oldest rule in the game.



We've clearly signed Murphy very young because we saw the potential, we want to keep TL, and Lineman is a better player whilst a few others can cover the wing including Rockey if he stays. Just how it goes and Kershaw has a living to make.

Still believe the league should look to re-integrate the old A-team's. I think Lee would have done well providing cover for the 1st team while playing regularly in the A team.

Kershaw will probably end up like Dale Morton who burst on the scene during John Kear's era but, following a few errors at Super League level, but was shipped out and subsequently made a very good career in the Championship.
