Really disappointing. I did not particularly like either shirt this season, so I was looking forward to this coming out. Looks like for the first season in as long as I can remember that I will not be buying a shirt.

Can't believe what I'm reading here, this clearly isn't a "replica" shirt and is not being marketed as a "replica" shirt, it is a "retro" shirt and for me is exactly what "retro" is, much the same as the new mini/fiat 500/vow beetle, they don't look the same as the original, they are a modern day version of a classic, this shirt is a "retro" version of the 80's Classic shirt, with a modern twist on it. I think you should read the wording better on the site because it is says "a retro shirt replicating that worn by Wally Lewis during his spell with us".

Never seen that before, Is the one on the left a replica because it seems to have 2 stripes down the arm and no Adidas branding, that's one way to get around the problem. Got to say the shirt design still looks great 30 years later.

Semantics aside, do you think they've done a good job of producing a retro shirt of the replica 83/84 Wally Lewis one because personally I'd have loved to have one IF they were anything like the one posted by The Avenger of The Clans earlier picture. People have been banging on about that shirt for years and imo they could have sold hundreds if done properly.

Saw the retro shirt in the Ridings today. It caught my eye at first from a distance but on closer inspection it was a big disappointment for me. That said it's got more life than a replica playing shirt so appeals to me more.

Got one yesterday. Yes I'd like the blue bands to be thicker rather than just a trim to the red band but i still like the shirt. Far better than the awful recycled plastic bag screen printed replica. Sizing is a bit off so be sure to try on a number of the same size as they seems to vary.
