| Best of luck to him at Salford, deserves all the credit he gets. Hopefully Annekin and Trout will step into his shoes, as they are both players who I feel could have a future in the game.

| Quote G.Price Fan Club="G.Price Fan Club"Washbrook / Howarth is a complete irrelevance to us IMO.
Slate me for being harsh, but... Too small to play 13 ATM (when we need it) and lacks creativity for the halves.
If we're talking number 13, why mourn SH when we have some very exciting players coming through at 13?
Enter Mr Annekin.'"
If Howarth is too small to play at L/F then Annekin certainly is.

| you know we are talking about Chris Annekin being too small for loose forward and yet Rob Burrow has proven to be one hell of a player.
I'm always a believer that size and speed and the two combined can determine where players play so why has Chris not been tried in the first team in more compact role of hooker

that doesn't stop him being first receiver on the quick play the ball, he has a powerful run and upper body strength

| Good luck to him, personally wasn't fussed either way and like what's been mentioned already, it all seems to have been done for the good of both parties, especially if it's making room for a prop or two.

| Lets just hope that it was Howarth who wanted to go and not Agar who has pushed him good young player who will get fixed up no problem
Lets face it Mr Agars record with young players is not good and our squad is now full of overseas players again hope the likes of Moore get a chance but I am not holding my breath hope we dont go back to the bad old days with a team full of imports

We did say this for Salford for the season just gone and they didn't turn out what they are capable of. Fair enough they turned us over twice but seems they couldn't win vital games

Which would you rather have a team of mainly imports finishing top 6 most seasons, or mainly English finishing out of the 8 ? Let's face it England are never going to produce players the standard that we see in NRL. Let's have some glory for a while.

| If I have counted correctly we currently have 8 foreign players out of a squad going on for 30.
There will be injuries so surely opportunities will arise for younger home produced players to come in then.
Also give them spells on the bench and gradually bring them along.
We cannot just throw the likes of Moore ,Widie, Wood etc all in together.
It is not just as simple as home versus foreign.
Say we had 2 experienced home produced halves the younger lads would still have to wait their turn all the time hopefully learning from them.
Huddersfield for example have Brough, Robinson,Brown.
The younger halves there will have to wait.

It depends what the alternative is. What if we have Washbrook and T Smith playing in the halfs and not performing to standard? The 3 mentioned player have had plenty of exposure now I just hope they aren’t kept out for players that are not performing, which has happened in the past.
