Its no secret that unless a small miracle happens wakefields fate is already decided, and it appears to me like that has been accepted and therefore the club are clearly not going to be bringing in any high profile players and spend up to the cap, or to be honest come anywhere near the cap. Mr Glover wont be bringing anyone in and will carry on with what you have until the decision is confirmed at the end of this month (although I think he knows already) and then he can justify why he wont be spending on players this season.
I am sure as a club and a business they will want to keep hold of the cash, as well as the parachute payments the club will receive next season, and then probably be able to put together a very competitive squad for the championship campaign in 2012.'"
As has been stated on another thread Andrew Glover has to receive paperwork from the RFL before he can start signing players on, apparently this will take a few weeks, hence the delay. |

I have it on good authority that AG spent most of Friday with a sweeping brush in one hand and a feather duster in the other, mucking in to get the place ready for the game.

Just because Andrew Glover has said the club can spend up to the cap doesn't automatically mean top class players will arrive. One they have to be available and two they have to want to come. With the club the current favourites to lose their license no player of any class will sign. To think otherwise is incredibly naive. |

Can anyone clarify/shed any light on the 'paperwork' aspect regarding new signings. AG or JE alluded to this at the recent fans meeting, but I still don't understand it. If it is the RFL we are waiting for, then what was the 'fit and proper' person farce all about when we were in administration. If it is something to do with overseas signings, then if there are UK signings to be made then use some leverage now to get them. As well as the team has played so far, I feel that we can't go on much longer with the same personnel, the kids can't just keep on taking the knocks and JK seems to be trying to rotate them as much as is possible. |

Domestic players obviously wouldn't be an issue, but that would be down to availability of players of the requisite standard.

That's only for overseas players. Can't see any British players of suitable quality being available to sign right now, especially for the positions we need. Think the only realistic target we could end up with would be Tansey. Ability wise he's better than what we've got but his attitude could be a major problem especially with us being such a young team. |
