The Giants may have been depleted somewhat but they still have a very strong squad even with players out or backing up and you have to work hard to win any SL game. Can't comment as I wasn't there but we must have really held our nerve in dour conditions.



All in perspective, that's a great week for the club.

Well played Wakey, thought you played the conditions better than us, and I'm still not dried out yet!

It wasn't that bad, we looked after the ball considerably well. I think one of the reasons Shudds had to play out of their own 40 for the entire match is the fact Kear had Higgins, Amor, Hickey and Korki running slight angles at one defender (instead of immediate gaps) consistently and good yards were being made in the collision. We managed to get 4 tacklers to the likes of Crabtree time and time again.

Only weak link today for me was Morton. He clearly gave 110% but should have taken his chance early in the 2nd and it was lucky Shudds got pulled back for a forward pass as he wasn't going to catch the free attacker. He isn't big enough, fast enough or strong enough for SL (yet!) We are just fortunate Shudds didn't start playing with width until the 75th minute.

One good thing is he came in for work 3 or 4 times and held onto the ball after some real rough facials.

Shudds were penalised for 5 high tackles in the game and no yellow was shown, is that proper procedure?

so you dont think that he was caught out, putting in poor kicks under pressure as a result of him not being stood deep enough. . . . . . on top of the huddersfield players being onside/square being questionable...



i think you need to take off your red/ white and blue glasses and see things more clearly instead of assuming that because we won, there is no room for improvement and nothing went wrong. get real

Not sure you have an understanding of the difference between room for improvement and head up criticism.

Cant wait for Hickey to get fit. He looked as though he'll really take some stopping although his biggest hit was on Amor.

Only just dried out, but don't care, It will be nice going to work in the morning in Huddersfield without getting stick for losing. If Moore carries on improving he is going to be awsome.
