Neil has posted this on the Northstanders facebook page.
Neil has had a lot to do in getting things started along with Nick they have come up with plans to please the powers that be, I came to last Saturdays meeting along many others after the call out for engineers, this meeting found we have all the criteria covered, health and safety, design and contact for materials, engineer to complete the steel work, ground works engineer covering fixings, and of course a squad of enthusiastic volunteers will to get this complete.

Following a very good meeting with the council safety advisor and surveyor we were able to make huge steps forward with the ground safety certificate. To this end we do not have as much work to as we originally thought. There is still a lot to do to get where we need to be but thanks to the advice from the council and the negotiations, we have made huge inroads into getting the ground backup to near capacity.
This Saturday we no longer need to remove the wall on the east stand, we do need to add three barriers to the area to bring it up to standard. The west stand work will go ahead as planned. If you are busy Saturday you no longer need to come down, we will need about 6 people in total, if you have an industrial drill that would be brilliant.
Steve Snowy Locking will be heading up the work and will need a hand shifting barriers etc and drilling the holes in preparation for the resin to be set. That should see this weekend taken care of, then we will start on the northstand and aim to have all the work done by the time the Castleford tigers come to visit.
A huge thanks to all who volunteered to give up their time and efforts this coming weekend, if you come down there will be stuff to do, and also we can brief people on future work.
The Main thing is that things are looking up and it's much more positive tonight than perhaps it was this morning
