From what people much closer to the situation than Wakefield fans are saying is a 2nd Supermarket has expressed an interest in Wheldon Road and Opus are negotiating the best deal between both Supermarkets.
And here is a quote from someone in a far better position to comment than just about anyone else who isn't RW or an Opus employee:

Like many posters have said I am all for Cas getting on with trying to get their own stadium and ourselves just concentrating on the community stadium at Newmarket.
Lets just hope Richard Wright thinks the same because if its true what I hear about Tesco his own stadium could be a long way off. What worries is me is that he could become a desperate little man and see his only hope of survival if Newmarket fails. Lets just hope he dosn't put his support behing the anti newmarket brigade and try to de rail our plans.

The "other" supermarket IS an Opus client, but they are not involved in the WR project and are looking at a different site in Cas.
If Opus realise the "other" one first, WR is dead. This is what is expected and is why Tesco are alos now looking at other sites, rather than WR.
Either way, not good for Cas. |

Yeah they are the club we love to hate, I'd would like to beat them season after season, but without their new ground - they won't be in the same league as us! (unless we fail as well)
I might enjoy various kinds of humiliation to be heaped upon them, but nothing that could seriously damage the club - I look forward to the derbies too much. |

If Opus are negotiating the best deal, then how are they not in a far better position to comment than just about anyone? The person you refer to must have more inside knowledge than the people appointed to broker any deal. If that is the case then why are Opus being paid to negotiate? |
