I really do fear the the game in this country. A club like Hull take on a clearly overweight and unfit 31 yr old journeyman aussie and throw him straight into the team at full back against Leeds. Surely they should be giving a chance to some of their young kids because your not telling me there isn't any in that city who would die to pull on the Black and White.

Not having a dig at McGoldrick whom I believe is a really decent bloke but its not doing our game any favours.

Tonight's game was appalling to watch and reffed by what can only be termed as a schoolboy. That's 3 dreadful games from this country this week on Sky and one belter with the S of O.

Our game over here is in need of major surgery and quick.

I've been following junior rugby league now for the last 5 yrs and it looks dire and doesn't look like it will improve neither

Last nights game was poor certainly but there have still been some good games this year. I just think the televised games have been poor. I bet Wigan-v-Bradford last week was belter, along with the HKR and Saints, but we were stuck with Salford and Warrington. The weather was a lot to do with a lot last night. The players never looked that surefooted. Certainly Hull looked very sluggish. Compare to the excitement of the Magic weekend, when there were some really good games in dry conditions.



I have to say though that this year has excited me less than any previous year.

The standard of SL has been falling, in my opinion, for at least 15 years and I really don't see anything on the horizon to halt the slide unfortunately.

The game need a reboost the pro clubs and amature clubs need toget in schools, and get kids playing..
